The COVID-19 outbreak is an unprecedented humanitarian and health crisis that has engulfed most countries, including ours. These difficult times are especially harsh on certain sections of the society who have been worst affected in this crisis be it due to employment loss or by unavailability of the everyday necessities and then there are those fighting at the forefront round the clock.
In partnership with various government agencies, we are providing meals for migrant labourers, the police force, and health-workers, poor and elderly people during this time. We are working with CII and FICCI under the able guidance of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and other Government authorities for this initiative. We have also partnered with Swiggy and Zomato to deliver these meals. As of March 15th and are serving 10000 meals daily in Mumbai, Delhi & Ahmedabad already and have crossed 44,000 meals already. Dry rations are being provided in Thane District, Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) and we have already distributed 1,78,000 mini meals & oil for cooking of 5,10,000 meals. We work together with our partners to scale up the delivery of meals across multiple states. We have already committed Rs 2 Cr towards these initiatives.
We would like to raise additional Rs 3 Cr to serve 10 lakh meals. As of March15th, we have raised funds for 28,000 meals & already served 19,000 meals.
With the rapidly escalating spread of COVID-19, it is imperative for every member to come together and unite their efforts towards providing relief to all affected communities and thank the heroes battling on the frontline with your generous support.
